KARACHI: A dashing century by Mohammad Waqas and some deadly bowling by slow left-armer Mohammad Asghar helped Pakistan Cricket Club beat Metropolitan CC by 187 runs in KCCA Zone Omar Associates Trophy Cricket Tournament at Lawai Cricket Stadium Naya Nazimabad on Saturday.
Waqas scored a brilliant 164 with the help of 17 boundaries and 6 sixes as Pakistan CC scored 335-5 in the allotted 40 overs.
Noor Wali (74) and Saud Shakil (60) also contributed well.
In reply, Metropolitan Cricket Club were bowled out for just 148-10 in 32 overs. Only Mohammad Usman (37) and Hammad Mughal (31) could resist the Pakistan CC attack in which Mohammad Asghar took 2-23 and Shahzaib Khan captured 3-37.
