MARDAN: Unidentified assailants shot dead two persons when they were on way back home from a wedding ceremony here on Sunday.

The incident occurred in Chanchur Khat area in the limits of Lundkhwar police station, officials said.

The police officials quoted a complainant Mukhtiyar as saying that his brother and cousin identified as Abid Khan and Saddam were returning from a wedding ceremony of one of their relatives when unknown attackers opened fire over them killing both of them on the spot.

He told police that they had no enmity with anyone.

Police officials registered FIR on the complaint of Mukhtiyar against unidentified killers, after which, the police began making efforts to apprehend the killers.
