A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-661 carrying more than 40 passengers crashed on the way to Islamabad from Chitral on Wednesday.
There were 31 men, nine women and two infants onboard the ill-fated flight.

Junaid Jamshed, the celebrated cultural icon was onboard PK661 with his wife Nayha Junaid.
DC Chitral Osama Ahmed Warraich was accompanied by his wife Amna Ahmed and their daughter Mahrukh Ahmed.
Ahtiramul Haq was a graduate of Karachi University and had recently become a husband. Ahtiramul Haq was also a keen polo player.

Aisha was enroute to Islamabad where she had planned to collect her educational certificates. “She was very happy,” a relative of Aysha, Samiullah, told Dawn.Com. “She was in the middle of preparing her travel documents, planning to go to Canada to be with her husband,” he added.
Nouman Shafique is remembered by his friends as a "very talented engineer". He studied at COMSATS university.
Muhammad Khawar Sohail, a member of the Christian community was dubbed as a "dedicated insafian".
Farhad Aziz, on the ill-fated PK661 was accompanied by his daughter Taiba Aziz. Farhad, a school teacher at Laglands School and College, Chitral, is remembered by his friends and colleagues as "a person with a fine mind, great integrity, independence of throught and above all, tremendous panache."
Ahmed Mansoor Janjua, besides being a pilot was an aspiring footballer. His friends recall him to be "one of the most happiest and fun loving people.” He was registered with the Overseas Football Club, DFA East Karachi.
Captain Saleh Janjua was a family man. He wasn't the first in his family to serve in PIA.
