Meet ‘the tallest cow in the world’!
This is Danniel, the giant bovine, who may just be the tallest cow in the world. Danniel weighs a whopping 164 stone and stands a staggering 6ft 4 inches tall.
And the huge Holstein steer has a monster appetite to go with his size, eating four times more than a regular cow each day. He puts away 100 pounds of hay, 15 pounds of grain, drinks 100 gallons of water — every day.
Owner Ken Farley, from Eureka, California said: “We first noticed that he was abnormally big when he was about six months and was being bottle feed.”
Danniel’s owners have now had him measured for Guinness World Records in an attempt to have him officially recognised as the world’s tallest steer and are eagerly awaiting the results.
The previous holder of the tallest cow crown was Blossom, a 6ft 2in cow from Illinois who died at the age of 13 in May 2015.
Ken added, “Holsteins are known to be large animals, they’re know for their size, but he is a bit taller than the average Holstein.”
Sadly, his immense bulk has meant that Ken and Ann could no longer keep Danniel and have now found him a permanent home at Lost Coast Hay Farm. The farm is planning on building a barn for him to stay during the cold weather where people can come and visit him for free.
Man breaks Rubik’s cube record by .01 second
An Australian man set a new world record for the solving a Rubik’s cube .01 second faster than the previous record.
Feliks Zemdegs, 20, of Melbourne, tackled a Rubik’s cube puzzle at an event in Sydney and finished in 4.73 seconds, a new world record!
Video of the attempt shows a crowd of spectators cheering loudly at Zemdegs’ accomplishment.
Those cheering on the Rubik’s cube master included Mats Valk, 20, the previous record holder who happened to be sitting right next to Zemdegs when he made his fateful attempt.
One cone with 121 ice cream scoops!
An Italian man achieved a new world record by piling up more than 100 scoops of ice cream on top of a single cone.
Dimitri Panciera claimed the Guinness World Record for “Most ice-cream scoops balanced on a cone” by piling up 121 scoops at the annual Gelatimo ice-cream festival in Forno di Zoldo.
To achieve the record, Panciera was required to use a cone with a diameter no greater than 3.74 inches and balance the scoops for at least 10 seconds.
He said he was able to pile the sweet dessert so high because he used local “artisan ice cream.”
Panciera had previously held the record for balancing the most ice cream scoops at 109, but managed to surpass himself with his most recent effort. He is also responsible for another ice cream related record after constructing the world’s largest ice-cream scoop which measures 6 feet and 4.7 inches long, 1 foot and 10.8 inches wide and 6.6 inches deep!
