PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday expressed disappointment over former Chief Justice Zaheer Jamali’s decision to delay the Panamagate case hearing and proceed on vacation instead.
Welcoming the formation of a new bench, Imran Khan said he wishes the new bench will wrap up the case as soon as possible.
The Panama case hearing is set to resume on January 4.
“We will accept the final decision made by the Supreme Court,” he said, adding that the judiciary is the only institution left that people were looking forward to.
On Dec 7, the court had to adjourn proceedings on the Panamagate case to the first week of January because the former chief justice was reaching superannuation on Dec 30.

Never expected someone of such a calibre to shy out in such a manner. Peoples of Pakistan are very intelligent & competent to judge for good or bad. Many are considered lucky enough to be afforded a chance for a golden entry into the history book BUT only few are courageous enough to engrave their names with golden letters, ex- CJ missed the opportunity.

Don't make statements like "We will accept the final decision made by the Supreme Court,” as you have to take a U-turn if decision is not to your liking

@Philosopher(from japan) The case is already against the PM so it will be anything but a shock if he gets away. The PM either lied in Assembly or in Court and at the very least needs to be punished for this.

Shocking that such an important case, and some bureaucratic process gets in the way... We need SC judges with vision, leadership and who work for the country first.

@sid it is against pm if and only PTI proves in court with solid evidences otherwise IK has lied to the nation so many times. The words of mouth doesn't have any value in court whether pm lied or not. Even the murder suspect release by the courts if not proven guilty with solid evidences. By the way the court doesn't give verdict on whims and wishes of PTI fans.

IK has a long list of disappointments and will continue to have disappointments ! He needs to get along with MQM and get the position of Opposition Leader . Then he can do something . PPP is playing very friendly and has no plans to challenge PML N !

@Philosopher(from japan) The burden of proof lies with the PM not PTI. The courts have already accepted this fact otherwise the case would have been thrown out by now...Also to lie in court is a crime, to lie in Parliament may not be a crime as such, but would you want your PM to be a liar?

The court is moving forward with the Panama case, its time Imran stops making headlines and let the court do its job, no reason to express disappointment, the court is not going to work under Imran Khan's directives. Enough of this drama please.

A very practical suggestion indeed. Imran Khan must strive hard to become the leader of the opposition. Such an outcome will send shivers down the spine of all corrupt politicians. But the multi million Dollar question is : Will MQM cooperate with PTI to achieve this scenario?
