VCOAS visits LoC

ISLAMABAD, Jan 1: Vice Chief of Army Staff General Mohammad Yusuf Khan visited the Line of Control and the Corps Headquarters on Tuesday to review the defensive and offensive plans of the Pakistan Army.

At the Corps Headquarters, he was received by Corps Commander Lt-Gen Syed Arif Hassan, a press release of Inter- Services Public Relations said.

Gen Yusuf was given a detailed briefing by the Corps Commander on the strategic plans of the army. The VCOAS expressed complete satisfaction over the operational planing.

Later, Gen Yusuf visited various localities in the Kashmir sector along the LoC, where he was apprised of the prevailing situation by the respective commanders. He was conducted around the defensive positions where he met the troops.

Addressing the troops, he lauded the highest degree of preparedness, commitment, high morale and offensive spirit as embodied in the teachings of Islam. He also appreciated the alertness and commitment exhibited by all ranks.

“I am reassured of your preparedness in the wake of enemy’s designs,” he said.
