Haripur Bar polls held

HARIPUR, Dec 21: A People’s Party Patriots candidate was elected the district bar association president for the third consecutive time here on Saturday.

District PPP (Patriots) General Secretary Javed Khan Tanoli secured 131 votes against the 76 votes polled by Malik Abdul Jalil of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal.

Mohammad Jamil Tanoli of Javed Tanoli’s panel defeated his rival Syed  Wajid Ali Shah by 23 votes for the post of general secretary with 116 votes. — Correspondent
