What Woody Woodpecker has to offer us in his feature film?

Tnews of an upcoming movie of the classic cartoon character Woody Woodpecker delighted many fans; however, after the release of the teaser trailer, much of the expectations have been ruined.

Woody, who celebrated his 76th anniversary this year, now has beak acne, Goth-eyeliner, and an over-textured iris. Also, harsh lighting choices give a scaly appearance to his feathers.

Of course, it’s not just Woody who’s a mess, the overall production is cheaply made. It’s telling that Universal Pictures Brazil released this teaser on Youtube in 480p, perhaps to help hide its awfulness, whereas all their recently-released Sing promos have been in high-def 1080p.

How To Train Your Dragon 3 has been delayed

If you have been waiting for Dreamworks Animation How To Train Your Dragon’s, third instalment which was pushed to 2017, then into 2018 and has now been shuffled once more to March 1, 2019.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the bad news as Dreamworks Animation officially announced the new dates. The potential competition for How To Train Your Dragon 3 comes from both Captain Marvel and Godzilla 2, both of which are scheduled for March 2019 debuts themselves.

With How To Train Your Dragon being one of Dreamworks’ golden franchises, it’s not a bad idea to save the film for a later release date, in order to make sure the film is a fitting end to the trilogy.

How To Train Your Dragon 3 will now see its day in theatres on March 1, 2019, though don’t be surprised if there’s at least one more shift in release date, because who opens an animated film against a superhero movie?
