PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture Department has arranged a performance of famous Sufi singer Saeen Zahoor on Sunday to promote cultural music.

A press release issued here on Thursday by the culture department said that the event would be held on January 15 at Nishtar Hall, Peshawar. Director culture Ajmal Khan said that the purpose of inviting Saeen Zahoor to Peshawar was to provide entertainment to the people here and promote cultural music.

Saeen Zahoor is not only famous in Pakistan, but also internationally for his Sufi style of singing and dancing. He won BBC voice of the year award in 2006.

Saeen Zahoor’s two hours performance will start at 5:00pm on Sunday and only families would be allowed to attend the event.
