Two saddest days in my life ..One when Zardari took the oath as the president of Pakistan and other when Donald Trump would take an oath as 45th president of USA..

So Zardari attended the Pre-Oath taking ceremony and NOT the actual ceremony itself. There's a huge difference between pre and actual. Is PPP creating a hype to fool Pakistanis about importance of Zardari? They can't fool us anymore.

This is real honor for Pakistan that two members of Pakistan's Upper House, and a democratically elected former President of the country were part of an event of global importance. Looking forward to more such pleasant soft-images of country by the democratic forces of Pakistan including PTI-Chariman Imran and PML-N's Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. Regards

Why is this is such a big deal? NS was not invited evening though he is still the sitting PM.
Nevertheless, even I could go and attend any gala if I had billions stashed in the bank. You could buy a seat on the next mission to Mars, for all we care. Hopefully, one-way!

@Desi Dimag - You are assuming that an an average Pakistani voter is well-versed in geo-politics, educated and knows the difference between a Democrat vs a Republican and what is right and wrong?
If that was the case, people like NS and Zardari would not have even made it to Islamabad, much less get elected to lead a government.

@Desi Dimag - It has nothing to with being close to either the Democrats or Republicans in the US. Most people still don't grasp why an unconventional person like Trump won the US Presidency.
If you consider the largely uneducated, under-educated, blue-color, working class poor masses, from rural areas of interior Sindh and Punjab - the two most populace provinces keep rel-electing NS or Zarardi's parties over and over, is almost the identical reasons that Trump became the US President.
Trump appealed to mostly blue-color, red-neck, labor-class, who are fearful of immigrants; hated Obama passionately, who became the first black man to occupy the Whitehouse, that Trump was the only candidate who saw the opening and he grabbed it. He said what they wanted to hear - raw, uncouth, and unpolished in their own language and they loved it. Same way Zardari can go to Larkana and thousands turn up because he can speak their language. NS speak punjabi in the local dialect. That's his base.

It's not a big deal, Zardari is not going to get anything out of this new, he should be worried about staraving people in Sind, he should also know that more than 35 US senators and Congress members boycotted this ceremony.
