KARACHI: Top seed Nasir Khan and second seed Zeeshan Gul set an all-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa final after brushing aside their respective opponents in the boys under-19 semi-finals of the sixth Rehana Nazar national junior squash championship at Rashidabad, Tando Allahyar, on Monday.

While Nasir carved out 11-7, 11-7, 7-11, 11-4 victory over unseeded Saifullah in 37-minutes, Zeeshan was home 11-6, 11-4, 5-11, 11-5 over fourth seed Haris Iqbal. The losing semi-finalists also hails from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Third seed Uzair Shaukat of the PAF shocked top seed Talha Alam of Sindh in marathon under-17 duel 12-10, 9-11, 15-13, 5-11, 11-9 to set title clash with Punjab’s Uzair Rasheed who won straight over Naveed Rehman, also from Sindh, 11-9, 11-6, 11-5 in the other encounter..

Meanwhile, unseeded Komal of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continued her giant killing run when she sent second seed Noor-ul-Huda packing in 23-minutes 11-6, 11-3, 8-11, 11-8. She is now slated to face top seed Madina Zafar in the girls under-19 final.

Curtain falls on the event on Tuesday.
