The Punjab Government on Friday signed an agreement with Turkish Power Company Zorlu Enerji Holding to set up a solar power plant in Bahawalpur's Quaid-i-Azam Solar Park.
The 100 megawatt solar power plant is expected to be established in six months and will provide cheaper electricity to the public at a lower rate, Radio Pakistan reported.

India has established a 650 MW solar power plant in its Southern state in just 6 months and all by its own resources. We are much ahead of India in nuclear and missile technology. Can't we establish our own solar capabilities which the only renewable source of energy for tomorrow and the easiest of all power generation means?

@Houlbelat the issue with solar is its not that easy. Solar power is expensive, its more expensive than power from Coal. The issue is currently the efficiency of solar panels is only about 15-20%. And they only generate power during the day. Fossil fuels generation works all night as well as day.
The cheapest electricity actually comes hydroelectric which comes from building Water Dams, but these are very expensive to build at a time. E.g. Diamer Bhasha dam currently is looking to cost $10-15 billion dollars but will add around 25% to Pakistan's current generation capacity. The issues are complex and restrained by shortage of money like everything else.

LOL. Do you really think that a country, which can not built it's own solar power stations or train locomotives, be good at Missile or Nuclear technology??? Only Pakistanis can believe that. Keep doing the paint jobs on Chinese/NK missiles and be convinced about your day dreams :).
