LARKANA: Two policemen killed

LARKANA, Dec 27: Two police constables were killed in an encounter with bandits in Kutcha area some 40 kilometers off here on Saturday.

The police team was chasing outlaws, who had kidnapped and released three villagers from the limits of Ratodero police station on Friday night.

The encounter between the police and bandits took place in the Bahman plot, resulting in killing of two constables Gul Hassan Chandio, a resident of Kambar town, and Imtiaz, son of Mumtaz Soomro.

A bandit was also injured during the encounter. The escaping bandits might had taken away their seriously injured accomplice, police claimed.

The Larkana police had freed on Friday night three villagers Shahid, Parvez and Ayaz, all Zangijo by cast, from Zangijo village in the limits of Ratodero police station.

The kidnappers released the victims and escaped. The bodies were shifted to a hospital.

SNF: Sindh National Front leader Amir Bakhsh Bhutto has advised the workers to get ready for elections. Addressing the workers here on Friday, he said the element of people’s problems was missing from the agreement between the government and MMA.
