SUKKUR: Eight kidnapped

SUKKUR, Dec 27: Eight Mazari tribesmen were kidnapped by armed Bugti tribesmen from Mazari village on Saturday in the jurisdiction of the Shahwali police station.

The Mazari tribesmen were sitting in a hotel when the armed tribesmen appeared at the scene and kidnapped eight persons on gunpoint, including Shamala Mazari, Pehalwan Mazari and Mitha Khan Mazari. Names of the others could not be ascertained immediately.

The tribesmen also set ablaze the hotel and fled.

The incident was said to be the result of a dispute between the two tribes. However, no case was registered till the filing this report.
