Squash championship begins

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Junior Age Group Boys Super League Squash Championship got under way at the PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex here on Monday.

In the opening match of the under-13 category, Waleed Khalil recorded 11-9, 11-7, 10-12 and 11-8 victory against Mohammad Khan.

The two exhibited some beautiful nicks, drops and smashes.

Former world champion Qamar Zaman, Pakistan Squash Federation’s chief referee Munawar Zaman, KP Squash Association’s executive member Wazirzada, officials, players and large number of spectators were present.
