AFTER the massacre in various parts of Pakistan, the terrorists turned toward Sindh and blasted the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalander on Thursday when the devotees of the Sufi were busy performing ‘dhamaal’.
Eighty-three people were killed and more than 250 were injured. The more mournful thing is that even the closest hospital is miles away from the shrine, and the injured could not be shifted to the hospital in time.
I would suggest that security should be made tighter at the shrine, especially on Thursdays, and such other occasions when a large number of people are expected.
It is unfortunate that there are few hospitals in Sindh’s interior.
