As the country reels from a surge in terror activity, the Pakistan Army on Sunday reiterated a request to the general public to report 'suspicious' militant activity 'regarding terrorists' on helplines set up in Dec 2014 following the Army Public School attack.

Inter-Services Public Relations encouraged citizens of Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan to use the 1135 helpline to report unusual activity, whereas the citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa can call 1125.

These numbers can be dialled directly from mobile phones or PTCL landline numbers.

The Rangers released contact information for residents of Punjab as the paramilitary force was deployed across the province as part of military operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.

The Rangers have asked citizens to 'assist' them in the operation and "report suspicious activity or information related to terrorism in Punjab" by calling 042-99220030, 99221230, texting 0340-8880047, WhatsApp messaging 0340-8880100 or emailing help@pakistanrangerspunjab.com.

Security forces have reinvigorated nationwide intelligence operations as Pakistan faces a fresh resurgence in terror attacks.

At least 88 people were killed and hundreds were injured when a bomb ripped through the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan this month ─ the deadliest amongst a series of attacks carried out by militants in recent weeks.

Military leadership claimed the attacks were carried out by militants operating from safe havens in Afghanistan and the Pak-Afghan border was sealed at the crossings at Torkham and Chaman as part of tightening security in the wake of the attack on the shrine, indefinitely.
