Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said he wished all tickets for seats in an enclosure named after him at the Gaddafi Stadium would be free for fans hoping to experience the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final.
The Gaddafi Stadium, where the highly-awaited showdown between Peshawar Zalmi and the Quetta Gladiators will be held Sunday, is divided into sections named after prolific former Pakistan cricket team players.
“It is quite unfair to have tickets priced at Rs12,000 with cricket being played in Pakistan after such a long time,” he was quoted as saying. "This is injustice with cricket fans."
Khan further alleged that the PSL tournament had been turned into an event for the "elite".
Khan's desire that PSL tickets be made free appears to contradict his earlier staunch opposition to the final being held in Pakistan.
He said Thursday that holding a cricket match in a curfew-like environment would have an adverse impact on the country's image. If any adverse incident occurs on the day of the final, it would prove to be the end of international cricket in Pakistan, he had said.
"Under such monumental security arrangements, matches can even be held in Iraq and Syria,” he had earlier remarked.

There is no contradiction. IK had rightly criticised the holding of the final in Lahore and the message this would send to the world who would perceive Pakistan as a security state. He is now commenting on the price of a ticket and for the inclusion of a free ticket allocation for those who camnot afford one. This is social justice.

What I gather from last day statement that law and order in Pakistan is more and less comparable to Syria and Iraq and same was quoted by international media. If Pakistan is trying hard to project in the WORLD that all is fine in country is this WRONG? If we are trying to bring normal life back to Pakistan what is crime in it? Millions were spent on security details of sit ins on PTI why IK did not call off them as security situation was not better. Are we wrong if was desperately want to see our country normal?

If we analyze the current situation and final PSL match, motives behind it, then we will realize how true is IK's statement.
We have so many priorities over this match in the current situation.
IK talks straight forward. His straightforwardness has earned him many sincere friends like me but the same thing may cost him politically a lot because some of the opponents who are crooked/ corrupt may viciously vilify him.
He is real hero who is getting disrespected from current politicians because their existence and interests are in jeopardy.
It isn't not easy to face such political environment which he is facing.

PSL management needs money to run the show. If they allow free entry for Imran Khan enclosure then what about enclosures named after Miandad, Zaheer Abbas and other great players. My suggestion to Imran Khan will be to buy all tickets for enclosure named after him and distribute it to enthusiastic cricket fans for free. Then they will pray for him and most likely vote for him also.

During my visit there I never saw local police carrying guns and then for olympics there was unprecedented security. IK is tottaly on the wrong side. At least pak fans will get to see quality international standard cricket. And if they want to hold it in Dubai, then moving the final to Pak makes no sense. It doesn't help Pak image that you turned Lahore into a ghost town to play a game of cricket. Quetta has lost their best players and isn't the same team. Now he's saying since the decision has been made to play the final in Lahore, the tickets should be affordable for the fans. I don't see any contradictions.

This type of statement shows that these are people are not serious with Pakistan then there is no difference between them and all the ajencies who try to infiltrate in Pakistan . I don't need to support Miranda or taliban or nawaz . We just try to support our country
