SIALKOT: A delegation of European businessmen related to the manufacturing and productions of footballs termed Pakistan an ideal and safer place for direct foreign investment and business.

The delegation, led by Danish businessman and chief executive officer of Select Sport Peter Knap, said that they were happy visiting their business partners in Sialkot.

The visiting businessmen assured they will further expand their business activities through investment in different joint ventures with their Pakistani counterparts.

The members of the delegation believed that the world should focus on broadening the scope of mutual cooperation with Pakistan by extending it to the areas of trade, investment, and energy and infrastructure development.

On the occasion, Sialkot’s leading football manufacturer and exporter Dr Khurram Anwar Khawaja welcomed the delegation and gave a detailed briefing about foreign business trends, the need and challenges, opportunities of foreign business growth and investment in Pakistan.

Mr Knap, whose company Select is world’s biggest soccer ball manufacturer and exporter, announced to expand his business with his Pakistani partner Anwar Khawaja Industries (AKI) in Sialkot.

He also pledged to make all out sincere efforts to promote a soft image of Pakistan globally.
