AREAS surrounding the Benazir International Airport are thickly populated. Sadiqabad is also listed among the victims of noise pollution.
According to a Google map survey, almost 0.5 million souls live in areas close to the Benazir International Airport. Among these inhabitants, 0.3 million approximately are school-going children. The noise bombardment occurs each time a flight touches down or takes off.
As a citizen I demand that flights be scheduled during the day so that our sleep is not disturbed.

Agreed, in the civilized countries, there are no night flights, the airports are closed. Its our own fault, we build societies near airports. As an old citizen of the area I remember almost non-existent of population in the vicinity of the airport. Our greed and desperation has reached to such an extent that 36 colonies (having no dependable source of water) have mushroomed around the under construction airport at Fathejang road by the land mafia and so called investor. So why blame anyone?
