GUJRAT: The Punjab government has finally posted Muhammad Ali Randhawa as the Gujrat Deputy Commissioner.

Hailing from the Pakistan Administrative Services, Mr Randhawa, an officer of grade 18, assumed the charge of his office on Monday. He was earlier serving as the Hafizabad DC

The Hafizabad Additional Deputy Commissioner (revenue) Allah Ditta has been given the additional charge of the Hafizabad DC on a look-after basis until the posting of a regular officer.

Mandi Bahauddin DC Muzaffar Sial, who had been holding the additional charge of Gujrat DC as well, was also transferred from Mandi where he remained posted for some 34 months. In his place, the Punjab government has posted Hafiz Shaukat Ali as the new DC of Mandi Bahauddin who assumed his charge on Monday.

Mr Sial has been asked to report to the Services and General Administration Department until further posting.
