Pakistan levelled the series score 1-1 by winning the third of five fixtures 4-2 against New Zealand on Monday.

After Saturday's 2-2 draw, Pakistan played with zeal and was in control for most of the match, with a number of penalty corner attempts throughout the match.

With a 1-0 lead at halftime, Pakistan charged ahead and Abu Mahmood's hat-trick sealing the deal for the green shirts.

Pakistan were the first to score thanks to a penalty corner strike from Abdul Haseem Khan in the sixth minute.

Carrying the lead into halftime, Pakistan scored their second goal just minutes after the break when Mahmood scored his first goal.

Mahmood's second goal came in the 35th minute which felt like a replay of his first goal, following another penalty corner.

The Kiwis responded in the 45th minute when Cory Bennett sent home a penalty corner flick.
