KARACHI: Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa said on Tuesday that the sacrifices of soldiers would not go waste.

According to a tweet by Inter-Services Public Relations Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor, the army chief stated this during his meeting with the parents of Captain Junaid Khan who, along with a soldier, laid down his life earlier this month during an operation in Swabi. Five militants were also killed in the operation led by Capt Junaid.

“Our martyrs are our heroes [and] their sacrifices shall not go waste,” Gen Bajwa said.
