A vehicle was stopped and searched by the ASF personnel at the airport check post on Wednesday morning, and during a routine inspection a weapon and a large cache of ammunition was found in the vehicle, the ASF officials said.
The ASF confiscated a .223 bore rifle, seven magazines, and dozens of bullets from the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as a resident of Lahore and was handed over to the police, along with the car.

Good work by the law enforcement agencies. The exercise should continue till the last contraband bullet is recovered.

This is commendable and helps in combating terrorism in the country. Such steps can also help in reducing the acts of violence both within and outside the country.

Good Work!!
However there needs to be an SOP where the driver of the vehicle is not allowed back in the vehicle, as he may intend further harm.

This is getting too much of caches of ammunition being confiscated almost on daily bases all over the country. Creates a fear that, there might be much more still to be discovered before being used in terror plots. Needs very thorough screening and use of remote sensing technologies with no latitude shown to any.

Good job ASF....however, after finding something suspicious in the trunk...the guards should have been more vigilant, their body language was way too causal...nothing should be taken for granted.

The accused should be given a fair trial and then swift justice should be meted out to them. The people at large have an absolute right to feel secure from all kinds of miscreants, and especially suspected terrorists. I hope that the newly authorized military courts will do their duty in this regard.

@Asif A Shah ... The question remains, were they there to attack people inside the airport terminal?
