Quality education — nations’ right!
What separates us from the animals. Education is an inner light from which we can make the whole world shine. Without education, a child is like a bird without wings.
So it is important to go to school and get education and always work hard; while it is equally important that teachers play their role in giving good education and knowledge to the students.
Lastly, the board of education must visit schools and colleges and check the condition of not only the buildings, but the standard of education too. Only then our nation will prosper.

The worth of a book
This is regarding the two stories “The worth of a book” by Altaf Noor Ali and “The purpose of education” by Gulrukh Tausif (YW, March 4).
The former was a story about usefulness of libraries and reading books as the book reading habit is declining with every passing day. One of the main reasons behind this is that there are no new libraries around while the old libraries serve outdated books, therefore students prefer internet surfing and reading online.
The second story, “The purpose of education” told the real meaning behind education and how to become better human beings. Both the stories provided good lessons to the readers.

Make gender equality a reality
The issue of March 4 made me happy. I loved the cover story “Make gender equality a reality” by Sandhya Karamat Barlaas and also “A choice or a regret?” by Iqra Aslam Memon.
I was so happy to find topics like feminism and career choice in a popular and influential magazine like YW. I agree that our parents have their best interests at heart for us, but one has to choose the career path that ‘one’ likes the most, because in the end, success is not what matters but happiness does.
I also appreciate the book, movie and website reviews in the magazine. One thing that disappointed me though, was that there were no quotes in that issue which is actually my favourite part in the whole magazine, so it is my humble request to the YW team to carry the quotes always.

Magical powers
This is with reference to the story “Magical powers” by Maria Fauzi Syed (YW, February 4). Though the story was very childish, it conveyed a very strong message that if your parents go through difficult times, children, no matter how young they are, get unbelievable strength to save their parents and save them from the difficulties in their life.

A request to some animals
This is with reference to the article “A request to some animals” by Bushra Ali (YW, March 18). It was a really humorous article and informative all the same.
I couldn’t help smiling while reading it. It’s amazing how the writer chose a topic that’s really out of the box, and a wonderful way to deliver facts. I would like to see more such articles in Young World.
