QUETTA: Top class and thrilling football was witnessed in the two matches played on Friday including Sherani versus Nushki and Turbat versus DFA Quetta, both of which resulted in draw on the third day of the final round of the PPL Balochistan Football Cup 2017.

Muhammad Yaqoob of Nushki was declared Man of the Match in the 1-1 drawn contest between Sherani and Nushki played at the Taj Lala Football Ground in Pishin. Yaqoob received the prize from Major Waseem of Frontier Constabulary.

Multiple attempts on opponent’s goal posts were made in the match between Turbat and Quetta that concluded as goalless draw at the Taj Lala Football Ground, Pishin. Turbat’s goal-keeper Amir Ali was declared the Man of the Match for thwarting many moves from the rivals.

The final round of the tournament commenced on March 20. The event is being organized in collaboration with Government of Balochistan, Pakistan Football Federation and Balochistan Football Association. A total of 19 matches will be played in the final round including the semi-finals on March 31 and the final on April 2 in Quetta.
