Maryam Nawaz, daughter of Prime Minister Nawaz, on Saturday said the prime minister has been diagnosed with a "small kidney stone".
The premier's daughter disclosed the information in a tweet and added that the kidney stone does not need any "intervention".
Earlier, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is well and all his test results were clear after rumours circulated earlier today regarding the premier's health.
"The prime minister has been working tirelessly as he wants to see completion of all projects by 2018, hence, he was under some stress," said Aurangzeb.
She added the premier had his checkup conducted at a private hospital in Lahore earlier today, and the test results were clear.
"The prime minister had a stomach ache since yesterday, but we are thankful to God that all his tests results are clear."
The minister added that Nawaz has returned to his family home in Raiwind.
Earlier in May 2016, Nawaz underwent an open-heart surgery in London. The surgery lasted more than four hours, during which his arteries were successfully grafted.

Why does Nawaz always hide behind the Veil of Secrecy it could only mean one thing. He is not telling the truth.Where as I do not have any faith in him, I wish him no harm but speedy recovery from his latest untimely ailment.

First time in human history a perons got stomach ache due to over work. Earlier people would have stomach ache due to over eating and not doing any work. Congrates, its a historic moment.

It is remarkable after his very major heart surgery last year, that he has been keeping to his arduous schedule. It is good that he has been medically cleared after check up. India's former Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh, also went through an even more complicated heart surgery while he was the Prime Minister, and the call of duty on him was so demanding that he also did resume his hectic schedule within days. He was operated and treated in India, at AIIMS, Delhi.
The sarcasm and negative comments about Nawaz Sharif's medical condition by some readers is unfortunate. I wish him best of health and active life, not withstanding the present nadir hit in the relationship between India and Pakistan.

@Joe the process is very similar to shale oil drilling - drills have to work at different angles to knock out the stones. Or he must drink lots of apple cider vinegar and that will dissolve the stone. Just drink LOTS of fluids.
