The government of Sindh on Saturday appointed Sardar Abdul Majeed, a BS-21 officer, as the acting inspector general of police for the province after relieving A.D. Khawaja from the post, said a notification issued by the provincial government.
The notification added that Majeed will hold the post, along with his current duties, until a regular posting is made.
Majeed was currently posted as the additional inspector general of police for research, development, inspection and enquiries.

I hope this change is on merit base?and it produce positive results?for the province and for the country? Less interference is a best tool provided police do its intended job with integrity.

After a long, long time a good police officer with integrity found his way to the job of Sindh Police Chief. But, the incorrigible political lot have found their freedom to do what they want, sidelining the strong policeman.

Who will be responsible if same situation resurface in Karachi where target killing go unabated. CM must take guaranty to maintain law and order or bear the brunt of future course of action laid by federal government.

The removal of IG and replacing him with his junior is against ethics as well as rules. This is a regular feature of our bureaucracy. If a boss does not like any officer he is either made OSD or transferred to a far off place. In this way we can not expect good and corruption free governance. Postings and transfers in deference of the wishes of the rulers must end if we want to eradicate corruption.

Only corrupt and integrity less person can serve and lead Pakistan's bureaucracy. No room for any honest and man of intigrity. AD Khawaja was honest and was performing his duties transparently. He paid price for. Recently all dishonest person of PPP have been bailed out and are moving freely. While honest person like AD Khawaja has been removed from the post. I do not know when people of Sindh will realize that PPP does not deserve to rule this wonderful province and its people. What a shame again.

Not sure but a Sardar Abdul Majeed on Balochistan Police website is shown to have been a non PSP recruit with Bcom as his qualifications. When compared to a MS in Criminology and Petaro Cadet (AD Khwaja) it is evident what merit jas been instigated by PPP.

All these champions of democracy act and behave like monarchs. A cleaner officer is always disliked rather hated by elected representatives. They want their own "yesman" everywhere so they can plunder a lot without hinderance, victimise their personal/political enemies and can rule like a monarch.
