KARACHI: Karachi champion Aahil Shah captured double crown in the fifth Dr Essa Mohammad ranking table tennis tournament which concluded at the Sindh Sports Board Sports Complex on Tuesday.

Aahil, handed a magnificent 11-7, 11-13, 12-10, 11-9, 11-8 defeat to Akbar Shah in the final to land the men’s singles crown

Earlier, the Aahil-Kamran pair got the better of Kaif Raiz and Mehdi Azhar 11-8, 9-11, 11-8, 10-12, 11-9 to annex the men’s doubles title.

Fourth seed Noureen Farhan clnched the women’s singles title inflicting straight 11-7, 11-9, 11-8 defeat on Iqra Saeed in the final.

The pair of Qurat Mujtaba and Maleha Ansar carved out 11-8, 11-7, 11-S, 11-8 victory over the pair of Iqra Saeed and Abeera Ali to annex the women’s doubles title.
