LAHORE: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has approved new packaging samples of 11 brands inscribed with a message stating ‘This is not milk’ as sought by the authority.

The companies had submitted the new samples after the authority ordered them not to market and sell tea whitener to consumers as milk.

“The PFA had ordered all the tea whitener producing companies to not sell such product without mentioning ‘This is not milk’ on 15 per cent of the total packaging material,” said a PFA spokesman in a statement on Friday.

He said the new tea whitener packaging samples were approved after PFA Director General Noorul Amin Mengal submitted them before a scientific panel of the authority and received a go-ahead from it a couple of days ago.
