The United States Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale on Tuesday appreciated Army's contribution towards regional peace and stability while meeting with Chief of Army Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa, said a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Matters related to regional security and mutual interest were also discussed, added the statement from the military's media wing.

The US envoy expressed his appreciation for the ongoing operation Raddul Fasaad for elimination of terrorism from Pakistan.

Earlier this year, the army chief met with US Central Command chief General Joseph Votel and expressed his commitment to fully cooperate with the US-led Resolute Support Mission in the neighbouring country.

The chief of army staff had also emphasised on border security and intelligence sharing mechanisms with Afghanistan.
