HYDERABAD: Jamshoro police have lodged a kidnapping case of Ghulam Qadir Marri on the complaint of his brother Ismail Marri under Sections 365-A, 384, 324 of the PPC, along with Sections 6, 2(K) and 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act vide crime No. 77, against unknown persons.
The complainant said his brother Ghulam Qadir along with his driver Mehboob Khaskheli, Khan Mohammad Mangi and Javed Rahimoon were returning from Larkana in a Land Cruiser (BH-7771) after attending the death anniversary of Z.A. Bhutto on April 7. He said his brother had informed him on phone that he was returning from Garhi Khuda Bukhsh, but later in the evening, the complainant learned through news channels that his brother and others had gone ‘missing’ near Jamshoro.
Ismail said that when he reached the Jamshoro police station, he was informed that his brother’s vehicle was found near the Jamshoro powerhouse with the ignition switch on. The vehicle was brought to the police station.
He said the statement of the SHO concerned showed that his brother and others had been kidnapped at gunpoint.
Ismail Marri is also said to have filed a petition in the Sindh High Court for the recovery of his brother.
