Python to give neck massages at German salon

Would you like to have a neck massage by a python?

A hairdresser in Germany is drawing customers to his salon with the hire of an unusual employee — a 13-year-old python that gives neck massages.

Frank Doehlen, proprietor of the Haar Mode Team salon in Dresden, said he started using the 13-year-old ball python, Monty, to give massages to customers after being inspired by a massage technique he witnessed on a trip to South Africa.

Doehlen said Monty’s services are now in such high demand that he offers the snake massages to customers two days a week.

“But only by appointment. Monty’s terrarium has no space in the salon. I always bring it with me at the customer’s request,” he told.

He said the four-foot-long snake’s body is 90 per cent muscle, making him an ideal masseur.

‘World’s biggest’ chicken!

A clip of the ‘world’s biggest chicken’ has left viewers horrified at its Jurassic proportions. The footage shows a chicken poking its head through a relatively small hole in an elevated hutch.

As the clip continues, the chicken begins to step into the yard and reveals its incredible enormity and plumage.

With masses of feathers and standing far taller than most dogs, the bird wanders around the yard marking its territory. It is not known where the footage was filmed, but viewers online reacted with shock at the feathered giant. One even thought the bird was actually a human wearing a fancy dress costume.

The breed is thought to be a Brahmans, the largest in the chicken family. It is yet not known if the footage is real.

The floating hotel room

If the idea of waves gently rocking you to sleep sounds like an absolute dream, you’ll want to know about Huis Ten Bosch.

Huis Ten Bosch is a slightly strange Dutch theme park in Sasebo, Japan, as it’s mostly run by robots!

And now, the theme park introduces magical floating hotel rooms, that let you sleep in the sea and transport you to a new island each night as you snooze.

And it sounds like an absolute delight.

The theme park spans across a 39,000 square metre uninhabited island, and the makers plan to build new adventure style attractions across the park — so overnight, visitors will be taken to a new adventure to experience.

According to sources, one adventure will involve Hunger Games style activities with toy guns; so no actual violence. The pods themselves are divided into two sections, with the top half serving as the bedroom and the bottom half as the bathroom, and look like cosy little capsules to curl up in.

Plus, there are large windows, so you won’t feel too claustrophobic while you’re bobbing along in the ocean.

Each one holds four people and will cost between £200 and £30 per night.
