KARACHI, July 29: The 17th Tele Card Inter-departmental All Pakistan Table Tennis Tournament will be held from Aug 9 to 13 at Islamia Club Majeed Khan Gymnasium.

Organising secretary, Shuja Haider said at a press conference that despite having the permission of Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) only two teams affiliated from PTTF have confirmed their participation which include OGDC Islamabad and PWD Karachi.

He said he sent letters to all the departments but no response have been received as yet. He said that to organise the tournament properly schoolboys have been invited in the tournament.

The tournament will be organised by Young Stars Organisation and sponsored by Tele Card. The total cash prize for the tournament is Rs 63,500,

Men’s singles event winner will be awarded Rs 15,000, runners up Rs. 7,500 semifinalists Rs 4000 each while quarterfinalists will get Rs 2000 each. Women’s singles winner will receive 10,000, runners-up Rs 5000, semifinalists Rs 3000 each while quarterfinalists will get Rs 1000 each.
