KARACHI: Former world number two and the reigning national champion Mohammad Sajjad was grieved when his spouse died in a road accident in Sargodha the other day.

The deceased, who was mother of four children, was laid to rest in her hometown on Friday.

According to Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Federation (PBSF), the three-time national champion had arrived in the city a day earlier to attend the national camp in preparation for the coming Asian Snooker Championship being held at Doha from April 22.

After receiving the shocking news the cueist was immediately rushed to Sargodha to attend her funeral.

Meanwhile, the PBSF has condoled the sudden demise of Sajjad’s wife and prayed to Allah to rest the soul in peace besides granting courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss.
