PPP-Parliamentarians President Asif Ali Zardari, while giving an interview to a private news channel, questioned that why can't the Sindh government appoint an Inspector General of Police (IGP) of its choice.
Commenting on the propagated notion that the incumbent Sindh IG was a “good officer”, Zardari remarked: “If A.D. Khawaja is a good officer, then what are others?”
Last week, the Sindh High Court extended its stay on the removal of IGP A.D. Khawaja from his post and ordered the IGP to continue his duties till the court reaches a decision in the matter,
Taking a jibe at the prime minister, he said that Nawaz Sharif was now wearied and he [Zardari] will make sure that PPP exhausts him.
During the next PPP rally, ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogans will be raised, he said.
The former president also spoke about the issue of his missing aides, “It doesn’t matter to me, no matter how many of my aides are arrested.”
Not the police but someone else is involved in the disappearance of my aides, he remarked.
He also claimed that the people who want to join him are being threatened.

1) Constitution allows central govt to appoint IGP unless provincial assembly pass resolution with good reason and courts have no objection
2) In your particular case, you are not allowed to appoint IGP because it is highly plausible that you want to rule this province under law of Jungle.

What about all the people that have been assigned by Mr Zardari who happen to be his friends and family on key positions ? Nine of it is based on merit nor experience and you cry about not being able to assign an IG of his choice ? They moment when you start playing with the law and justice, is the moment when you have started going against the country. This is exactly why Panama Case verdict hasn't been given yet even though all the required proof and documents have been provided to the judges because politicians and corrupt people like you and Nawaz have been playing with the law. You mould the law whenever there's an advantage to you and if you fail you simply leave the country and claim to be under exile. Pathetic !!

@M Mirza What exactly has Bilawal accomplished that we should take him seriously? The fact that the country, especially the national media, has taken him seriously is itself a condemnation of Pakistan. It shows how little respect we have for the country and the job of selecting our leaders. Just because someone happened to be born into a particular family is now qualification enough to be Pakistan's leader?
It also shows why PPP and PML-N are not fit to lead the country. If a party does not even run itself on meritocracy, how dare it apply for the job to run the country?

it is now good and appropriate for Mr.Zardari to be work as anchor or media person on TV TALKSHOWS, politically he is nowhere gather any mass . As concerns to IGP posting he should consult Sindh High Court , the court had stayed the incumbent IGP .

Because there been frequent public grievances and press news that, the Sind Govt. uses the IG and other personnel as political tools of the party, misusing their hiring and firing power upon them. As such corrupting and even criminalizing the system.

Sindh government should 'not' be allowed to appoint IGP, given government's shocking track record of abuse of rules and regulations. Government appoints officials who are corrupt and wants them to follow the dictates of the government. This is abusing the constitution and laws. Sindh government must be held accountable for its violations of laws.
