MULTAN, July 31: Students of Burewala stole the show in the results of FA/FSc annual examinations, 2003, announced by the Multan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education here on Thursday.

At least 37,944 candidates appeared in the examination. Of them, 19,042 were declared successful showing a pass percentage of 50.18. The overall top three positions were clinched by the students of Burewala, Vehari district.

Ahmed Haseeb Mushtaq (Roll No 8010) of the Government College, Burewala, clinched the top position by securing 970 marks while Muhammad Yousaf Madni (8017) of the same college took the second position with 960 marks. Sana Saeed (933) of the Government College for Women, Burewala, stood third with 958 marks.

In Pre-Medical (Boys): Mudassar Raees Ahmed (1093) of the Government College, Bosan Road, Multan, stood first with 929 marks, Muhammad Tahir Saleem (2096) and Muhammad Zaheer Anwar (2095) of the Government College, Burewala, secured the second and the third positions with 927 and 923 marks, respectively.

In Pre-Medical (Girls): Sana Saeed (933), Adeela Khan (877) and Hafiza Farkhanda Hina (878) of the Government College for Women, Burewala, stood first, second and third after securing 958, 955 and 941 marks, respectively.

In Pre-Engineering (Boys): Ahmed Haseeb Mushtaq (8010) and Muhammad Yousaf Madni (8017) of the Government College Burewala captured the first and the second slots by obtaining 970 and 960 marks, respectively. The third position was secured by Farooq Arshad (7272) of the Divisional Public Inter College, Sahiwal, with 951 marks.

In Pre-Engineering (Girls): Amara Sharif (5518) of the Government College for Women, Burewala, bagged the first slot with 941 marks. While Sidra Hanif (5137) of the Government College for Women, Multan, and Hina Saleem (5355) of the Khanewal Public School clinched the second and the third slots with 913 and 900 marks, respectively.

In General Science (Boys): Umer Farooq (13797) of the Punjab College of Information Technology (PCIT) captured the first position with 930 marks, Muhammad Shakeel (13365) of the Government College, Bosan Road, Multan, obtained the second position with 924 marks while Arshad Mehmood (13796) and Hassan Shahid (13826) of the PCIT shared the third position with 881 marks.

In General Science (Girls): Maria Rashid (10677), Ayesha Jabbar Khan (10689) and Aqsa Khan (10668) of the Government College for Women, Multan, stood first, second and third with 936, 934 and 913 marks, respectively.

In Humanities (Boys): Aneel Saeed (15009) of the Zakariya College of Commerce, Multan, Javid Hussain (15187) of the Government Degree College, Mian Channu, and private candidate Ashfaq Ahmed of Jalalpur Pirwala, Multan, stood first, second and third with

872, 826 and 817 marks, respectively.

In Humanities (Girls): Private candidates Shahzeb Dar (15224) and Farida Khannum (15222) of Mian Channu stood first and second with 887 and 872 marks, respectively. Adila Zulfiqar (20781) of the Government College for Women, Burewala, got the third position with 867 marks.
