KARACHI: By attaining top two slots in the league, Bounce Club and Nishtar Club qualified for the final of the Inter-club basketball tournment at the Arambagh floodlit court on Friday evening.

Though both outfits won four games and lose one apiece, Bounce Club finished on top on the better scoring rate.

However, in the last match of the league, Nishtar Club whipped Bounce Club 43-38 after enjoying 25-13 lead at half time that paved their way to success.

The winners won the first two quarters 10-5 and 15-8 but conceded the following two 6-9 and 12-16.

Prolific scorer Talha Amjad turned out to be the main architect of his team’s triumph with a rich haul of 27 points. Saifullah contributed nine.

Mubashir and Mahad Tariq were outstanding for the losers scoring 12 and 11 points respectively.

The final between the Nishtar Club and Bounce Club will be played on Sunday at 8pm.

This will be the third straight final of the Nishtar Club this year. They lost the Kashmir Day Cup final to Bahadur Club.

In the next, they bounced back to rout Askari Alphas Club to land the Pakistan Day Cup.
