GWADAR: Senator Taj Haider, Chairman of the Senate’s Special Committee for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), has said that it was their desire that every area of Pakistan should develop on an equal basis.

Presiding over a meeting of the special committee in the port city of Gwadar on Tues­day, he said that they were visiting Gwadar to review ongoing development projects.

The special committee delegation, comprising Sena­tor Taj Haider, Senator Kabir Muhammad Shai, Senator Dr Jahanzeb Jamaldini, Senator Dawood Achakzai, Senator Far­hatullah Babar and Sena­tor Usman Kakar, arrived in Gwadar on Tuesday.

Senator Taj Haider said that CPEC was a mega project for the economic development not only for Pakistan and China but for the entire world. He said that the project would create ample job opportunities for the local people of Gwadar and other areas of Balochistan.

Chairman of the Gwadar Port Authority Dostain Khan Jamaldini briefed the members of the Senate’s team about development projects launched in Gwadar.
