LAHORE: Pakistan Sen­iors defeated Pakistan Whites 2-0 in the opening match of the hockey triangular series at the Johar Hockey Stadium here on Wednesday.

Three outfits Pakistan Seniors, Pakistan Whites and Development Squad are participating in the series being organized to provide the senior team much-needed practice before the World Hockey League.

World Hockey League scheduled for June this year in London is also the qualifying round for next year’s World Cup.

Both the goals were scored by seasoned campaigner Haseem Khan who banged home in the 19th and 26th minutes.

The Seniors face Development Squad on Thursday.
