SWABI: Three people, including a woman, were killed in separate incidents here on Wednesday, said police.

In Jalbai village of Chota Lahor tehsil, a man exchanged hot words with his parents on some domestic issue, and later allegedly opened fire on his stepmother inside their house, killing her on the spot.

Husband of the deceased registered an FIR against his son in Tordher police station.

In Topi city, an 18-year-old youngster committed suicide after developing differences with his parents on a domestic dispute, said police.

The victim identified as Mohammad Amin hailed from mountainous region of Gadoon Amazai, and was staying in Mohallah Shahidan.

He was taken to civil hospital, Topi, in precarious condition, where he died.

In Shahdad village of Yar Hussain, a man allegedly opened fire on a woman, killing her on the spot.

Registering an FIR in the area police station, husband of the dead woman said the accused, who belonged to the same village, opened fire on his wife. The cause of the incident was not yet known.

Police have started investigations.

TEACHERS SEEK REGULARISATION: Leaders of the all teachers association on Wednesday urged the provincial government to announce regularisation of the services of 12,000 teachers appointed through NTS in the upcoming budget.

Speaking at a meeting presided over by the association’s district president Abdul Latif, they said the teachers had held a meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leaders who assured them that their demand would be met.

On the occasion, Mr Latif said the PTI leaders assured that the teachers demands on which an agreement could not be struck would be discussed again.

He said the teachers appointed by PTI government through the NTS should be regularised. He said once the teachers were regularised they would wholeheartedly concentrate on their job.
