PESHAWAR: The PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has changed its information minister for the fourth time since assuming power in 2013.

A notification issued by the administration department said that the chief minister was pleased to assign the portfolio of information to Shah Farman in addition to his own duties.

Previously, the charge of information and public relations department was being held by the adviser to chief minister for higher education, Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani.

The government, however, has not cited any reason for the move so far. Apparently, it has come full circle for Mr Farman who had lost his charge of the ministry to Mr Ghani back in 2014.

It is going to be Mr Farman’s second stint as information minister as previously he was given the additional charge of the portfolio in August 2013 after PTI’s first provincial information minister Shaukat Yousfazai was relieved of the charge.
