Four drown in river Chitral

CHITRAL, Aug 4: Four persons, including two sisters, drowned in the river Chitral on Sunday.

The dead women were reportedly grazing their cattle on the bank of the river near Junalkock Booni when one of them slipped into the river and drowned. In an attempt to save her, the other sister jumped into the choppy waters and lost her life as well. The body of only one sister could be recovered.

In separate incidents, a young boy and a man fell into the river near Booni and Drosh areas and drowned. Names of the victims could not be ascertained.
