TAXILA: Under the Prime Minister’s Social Development Programme, 37 schemes will be completed in NA 58, comprising tehsil Jand and Pindigheb at a cost of Rs80.705 million.

Talking to newsmen, Deputy Director Development Tariq Jamal said under the programme 15 villages in the Jand tehsil would be provided electricity at a cost of Rs33.350 million.

A sum of Rs31.831 million would be spent on 20 schemes of street and culvert construction while rehabilitation of two water supply schemes in village Pirana and Mianwala would cost Rs14.524 million.

The construction of a graveyard for a minority community in village Khaur would be completed at a cost of Rs1 million.

He said four other schemes costing Rs11.195 million would be executed in two union councils of Jand. Under these projects in the rural and remote areas of Attock, electricity would be provided to the Girdi village costing Rs4.995 million, Chhab village (Rs2.700 million), Lakarmar (Rs2.400 million) while a causeway would be constructed in Chhab at a cost of Rs1.100 million.
