SIALKOT: Exporters donated Rs75 million for the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital on Friday at a fundraiser at a local hotel near Sialkot.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and hospital founder Imran Khan presided over the ceremony.

A large number of Sialkot exporters attended the event and praised the hospital for serving the ailing humanity.

Mr Khan said the Sialkot exporters had passion and spirit for charity. He called them a role model for others as the exporters had made several impossible things possible through their socio-economic and human development projects in Sialkot. He said the hospital would continue serving the ailing humanity across the country without any political discrimination.

For this reason, he avoid political talk on the occasion, though PTI leaders Dr Firdous Awan, Khawaja Arif Ahmed, Usman Dar and Umer Dar were present.
