LAHORE: A Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MNA’s tweet holding Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif responsible if any harm happened to him seems to be outcome of PTI’s internal rift.

Though party chairman Imran Khan had immediately responded by tweeting: “PTI will not remain a silent bystander if anything untoward happens to our MNA. We will respond”, some party insiders said the tweet had been made to gain sympathies of Mr Khan.

PTI MNA Amjad Ali Khan from Mianwali (NA-172) was not available since he had switched off his cell phone soon after making the tweet:

Sources said Amjad Ali Khan was facing internal threat as folk singer Attaullah Eisa Khailvi was emerging as a strong candidates for NA-172 ticket in the next election.

PTI MPAs Ahmad Khan Bachhar (PP-45) and Muhammad Sibtain Khan (PP-46), elected from the areas falling under NA-172, were unaware of any threat to their MNA. Moreover, Amjad Khan had not lodged any report whatsoever.
