GWADAR: The Turbat University’s Office of Research Innovation and Commercialisation (Oric) and the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (Smeda) Balochistan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Saturday.

The MoU has been signed for promotion of entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprises (SME) development among students and youth through establishment of Entrepreneurial-ship Development Centre (EDC) at the varsity.

The MoU calls for organising capacity-building training programmes for the students and development of interaction and primary linkage between institutions and the commercial world. Oric director Abdul Majid Nasir and Smeda chief Shakoor Ahmed signed the MoU in Quetta in presence of vice chancellor Prof Abdul Razzaq Sabir, who said his institution was determined to producing job providers instead of job seekers and this MoU would help students to start up their own businesses.
