LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) says it is ridiculous to put up welcoming banners in Islamabad for those appearing before the joint investigation team constituted to probe the Panama case.

This is not a public meeting, but serious investigation under way at the Judicial Academy to unearth mega corruption, said PTI Central Punjab President Abdul Aleem Khan while speaking to party workers here on Wednesday.

Mr Khan said premier Nawaz Sharif had finally been dragged to the dock to hold him accountable for his alleged mega corruption. He said the nation was already waiting for the corrupt to be held accountable. He regretted that public institutions were now trying to create hurdles in the holding of investigation in a free and fair manner.

Khan said it was imperative to take the Panama Papers case to its logical end for a secure future for generations to come.
