GUJRAT: A man murdered his two sisters in Noor Jamal village of Dinga police precincts on Tuesday.

Awais Ali along with his maternal uncle Banaras entered his house and allegedly opened fire on his sisters Saadia, 26, and Uzma, 28, killing them both on the spot, and then fled from the scene.

Police claimed the suspects objected to the activities of both victims. They claimed Uzma had got divorced around a month ago and did not maintain her marriage despite her family’s insistence whereas they alleged Saadia often going out of the house at night.

Police have lodged a case against the suspects under sections 302, 311 and 34 of Pakistan Penal Code on the report of a police official from Dinga police station and started an investigation.

The bodies were handed over to the heirs after autopsy at Kharian civil hospital. No arrests had been made till the filing of this report however police claimed to be conducting raids at various places to arrest the suspects.

Meanwhile, police found a body of an unidentified woman from a deserted place near the vegetable market in Jalalpur Jattan.

Police shifted the body to Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital for autopsy.
