KARACHI: The participants in the Al Quds Day rallies in Karachi and elsewhere in Sindh on Friday reiterated their full support for the oppressed Palestinians who were striving for liberation of their motherland from usurper Zionists.

They were of the opinion that those who were behind Daesh [Arabic acronym for the militant Islam State group], Al Qaeda and other such outfits were the real terrorists, and not Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad and other Palestinian resistance groups.

These views were expressed by them in one of the resolutions adopted by the Al Quds Day rally taken out by the Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) from Numaish Chowrangi to Tibet Centre where it converged into a public meeting.

The participants were holding Pakistani and Palestinian flags with bands on their foreheads inscribed with the slogan “Al Quds we are coming”.

The rally was addressed, among others, by MWM chief Allama Nasir Abbas Jafri.

Recalling the martyrdom of countless Palestinians, Allama Jafri said Israel, with the full backing of the United States, had been massacring the oppressed Palestinians. He said the US, which was providing weapons to Israel in the name of military assistance, was responsible for the killing of oppressed humanity and forming Muslim rulers’ bloc to protect Israel. But on the other hand, he regretted, the oppressed Palestinians had been deprived of freedom.

Allama Jafri alleged that after having patronised Daesh in Syria and Iraq for six years, the US and Israel were now attempting to rope in Muslim rulers to pit them against Qatar in the line of their enemies after Iran. He warned the rulers in Pakistan that time was not far away when they [US and Israel] would also start conspiracies against Pakistan.

Allama Jafari said ‘Takfiri parties’ were after the solidarity of Pakistan as they were indulging daily in bloodbath of Muslims. Giving the example of bomb blasts in Quetta and Parachinar, he called upon the government to launch an operation against them.

He said Ummah should unite and launch a struggle for the freedom of Al Quds.

Through another resolution, the rally’s participants demanded that Pakistan immediately withdraw from the so-called Saudi-led Islamic military alliance and launch a merciless operation under the supervision of the army against ‘Takfiri parties’ in Quetta, Karachi, Parachinar, Dera Ismail Khan and other parts of the country in order to eliminate terrorism.

Another resolution condemned the economic blockade of Qatar and called for lifting inhuman restrictions. The rally asked Egypt to open the Gaza border for Palestinians and support all liberation movements across the globe.

KHAIRPUR: In Khairpur, a joint rally was held by the Shia Ulema Council, Fiqh-i-Jafaria, Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen, Asgharia Organisation and Shia Rabta Council.

The rally was taken out from Imambargah of Qasr-i-Hussaini, Mohalla Ali Murad, to Chatri Chowk in order to observe the Yaum Al Quds. Addressing the rally, Maulana Mazhar Hussain Naqvi and Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah said the motive behind taking out rallies throughout Pakistan was to express solidarity with the Palestinian Muslims.

They stressed the need for ending all kinds of differences for the cause of Quds.

THAR: In Tharparkar, rallies were taken out in Mithi, Islamkot, Nagarparkar and other towns of the district to mark Yaum Al Quds.

Paying tributes to the people of Palestine, speakers demanded the world bodies to raise their voice for the liberation of the first Qibla of Muslims.

MIRPURKHAS: A Yaum Al Quds rally was taken out by the Asgharia Organisation here on Friday from the shrine of Makhan Shah.

Carrying banners and placards, the participants raised slogans against Israel and the US.

After marching through main roads, they reached the local press club where speakers strongly condemned Israel and the US for occupying Al Quds. They requested the Muslim countries to remove their personal differences in the interest of all Muslims and unite for the independence of Qibla-i-Awwal.

NAWABSHAH: Activists of the Shia Ulema Council, Jafaria Students Organisation, Jafaria Youth and Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen took out separate rallies and held demonstrations on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, leaders said that an alliance of 39 Muslim countries was formed just to please the United States. If it had been organised for liberating Qibla-i-Awwal, it would have been freed by now.

They chanted slogans against the US and Israel and vowed to continue struggle for the freedom of Baitul Muqaddas.
